Lower Tadmarton

Lower Tadmarton is a new-build project located in a small village in Oxford.

The site is an infill plot positioned between the client’s existing dwelling and adjacent agricultural barns. It is narrow in proportion and enclosed by mature trees.

The proposal seeks to deliver a dwelling that responds thoughtfully to the materiality and massing of the surrounding buildings.

The massing strategy is informed by the need to maximize natural light within the dwelling, while addressing the constraints imposed by the site’s narrow footprint and the existing tree canopy..
